Dymunaf fi ddyrchafu'n awr

Dymunaf fi ddyrchafu'n awr
Fy llais mewn mawl i'm Prynwr mawr
  Son am ei gariad byth a wna';
  Yr Iesu wnaeth bob peth yn dda.

O! cariad mwy na hwn nid oes,
Sef diodde' angau,
     angau'r groes;
  O'm hachos i rhoed arno bla,
  Yr Iesu wnaeth bob peth yn dda.

Iachawdwr holl-ddigonol yw,
I atteb angeu dynol-ryw,
  Iacha'dd y cloff,
      y dall a'r cla',
  Gwnaeth ef i ddyn bob peth yn dda.

I'r gwan amddifad mae fe'n frawd,
Mae'n hynod dlws i'r enaid tlawd;
  Ni fedraf draethu'i
      glod heb feth,
  Can's da y gwnaeth Efe bob peth.

Beth wyf fi well meddiannu'n drist
Y byd i gyd a bod heb Grist?
  Trysor difeth,
      mae'n bob peth im',
  Ond bod heb Dduw
      yw bod heb ddim.

Dymunaf fi ddyrchafu'n awr
Fy llais mewn mawl i'm Prynwr mawr
  Sôn am ei gariad byth a wna' -
  Yr Iesu wnaeth bob peth yn dda.

Oh! cariad mwy na hwn nid oes,
Sef dioddef angeu,
    angeu'r groes;
  O'm hachos i
      rhoed arno bla; -
  Yr Iesu wnaeth bob peth yn dda.

Iachawdwr holl ddigonol yw,
A'i ddoniau'n rhâd i ddynol ryw;
  Iacha'dd y cloff,
      y dall a'r cla';
  Gwnaeth Ef i ddyn bob peth oedd dda.

Achubodd ddyn, bentewyn tân,
Fe wna'i ddu glwyf
    mor wyn a'r gwlân:
  Yn wir fe wnaeth - yn awr fe wna
  Bob peth ei hun i ddyn sydd dda.

I'r gwan amddifad mae Fe'n frawd,
Mae'n hynod dlŵs i'r enaid tlawd;
  Ni fedraf draethu'i
      glod heb feth,
  Can's da y gwnaeth Efe bob peth.
Cas. o Salmau a Hymnau (R Phillips) 1843

Tôn [MH 8888]: Duke Street (John C Hatton 1710-93)

gwelir: Beth wyf fi well er meddu'n drist?

I wish to raise now
My voice in praise to my great Redeemer
  Talk about his love forever I shall;
  The Jesus who did everything well.

O there is no love greater than this,
That he suffered death,
    the death of the cross;
  Because of me a plague was put upon him,
  The Jesus who did everything well.

The all-suffiecient Saviour is he,
To answer the death of human-kind,
 He healed the lame,
      the blind and the sick,
  He did for man everything well.

To the weak orphan he is a brother,
He is notably lovely to the poor soul;
  I cannot tell out his
      acclaim unfailingly,
  Since well did he everything.

What better am I possessing sadly
All the world and being without Christ?
  Unfailing treasure,
      it is everything to me,
  But to be without God
      is to be without anything.

I wish to raise no
My voice in praise to my great Redeemer,
  Talk about his love forever I shall -
  Jesus did everything well.

O there is no love greater than this,
That he suffered death,
    the death of the cross;
  Because of me a plague
      was put upon him; -
  The Jesus who did everything well.

The all-sufficient Saviour is he,
With his gracious gifts for human kind;
  He healed the lame,
      the blind and the sick;
  He did for man everything that was good.

He saved man, the brand of fire,
He made his black wound
    as white as the wool:
  Truly he did - now he does
  Everything himself for man that is good.

To the weak orphan he is a brother,
He is notably lovely to the poor soul;
  I cannot tell out his
      acclaim unfailingly,
  Since well did he everything.
